Lamilux announces Passivhaus flat roof skylights in a bid to help specifiers achieve higher targets
Independently tested and certified by the Passive House Institute, Lamilux has introduced Passivhaus flat roof skylights and glass roof system.
The manufacturer said it hopes the design will help specifiers meet rigorous new targets, a pressing concern in the approach to net zero.
According to the team, the Passivhaus components have the highest efficiency class and the products are manufactured by thermally separating and insulating the framework, resulting in improved air tightness.
Lamilux has worked on a number of Passivhaus projects in the UK, including Harris Academy Sutton in south London.
Designed by Architype, the building was named Britain’s first Passivhaus-certified secondary school and the design included the specification of Lamilux’s triple layered rooflights with ventilation flaps to improve airflow.
The team has encouraged early engagement for successful delivery, particularly as some products have a long manufacturing period.
