Architect creates design guidelines for developer
Jonathan Tuckey Design has won an invited competition for developer Pocket Living to create design guidelines for its new range of larger homes.
The developer made its name with very small one-bed flats using functional materials and fittings for low cost maintenance.
It is now branching out into two- and three-bedroom flats for the open market, aimed at post-first-time buyers.
Jonathan Tuckey Design’s proposals aims to create calm private spaces and more animated areas to entertain guests, allowing for variations across individual developments.
Pocket Living CEO Marc Vlessing said they wanted to bring the same level of design thinking to these homes and praised Tuckey for quickly understanding the brief.
Practice director Jonathan Tuckey said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Pocket Living to craft the look and feel of their new Pocket Edition homes. Our practice is deeply concerned with the ways in which homes interact with urban life and this has incorporated into many of our projects.”
