Innovation hub to replace Johnnie Walker bottling plant
Keppie has submitted detailed plans for a mixed-use scheme in Kilmarnock on the site of the former Johnnie Walker bottling plant.
The Halo Kilmarnock masterplan is a brownfield regeneration project centred on a 55,000sq ft enterprise and innovation hub. The three-storey building will provide collaborative office space for small enterprises.
This first phase is due to complete in 2019 if approved by East Ayrshire council. It has already granted outline approval.
Other aspects of the masterplan include an urban park, a light manufacturing facility and key worker private rental flats.
