Projects to be built across seven small sites
Brick By Brick has been given the green light for a 58-home scheme by Croydon council.
Designed by the council-owned developer’s architecture arm Common Ground Architecture, the scheme will be built across seven plots in two existing estates on Bramley Hill, South Croydon, with half of the homes being affordable.
The developer said the homes have been designed to blend in with the surrounding housing stock.
They will also include green features such as solar panels and heat pumps, which the firm said would result in neto zero carbon emissions from heat and energy use.
Brick By Brick, which was set up by Croydon council in 2015, has more than 1,000 homes in the pipeline with 700 more planned and says it expects to complete 500 homes by 2021.
The Bramley Hill scheme is part of its small sites programme, which aims to fill up small unused sites across Croydon with new-build homes.
