Developers sign deal for Allies & Morrison’s £1.1bn York Central scheme

Agreement with Homes England and Network Rail to see construction of 2,500 homes and along with office and retail space

McLaren Property and Arlington Real Estate have signed a development agreement on Allies & Morrison’s £1.1bn plan to redevelop a 45ha swathe of central York.

The 10-year deal with with Homes England and Network Rail marks a major step forward for the York Central project, which will see the construction of 2,500 homes, 20% of which will be affordable, one million sq ft of office and retail space and a new park.
