Grimshaw and Glenn Howells' design for Birmingham HS2 station revealed

Birmingham Moor Street Vision 4

Plans would link station to Curzon Street and Moor Street

Images of the proposed redevelopment of Birmingham’s second busiest train station, designed by Grimshaw and Glenn Howells Architects, have been revealed.

The new look for Birmingham Moor Street station is part of a proposal to link it with the city’s biggest station at New Street and the new station that will be built for HS2 at Curzon Street, which has also been designed by the two practices.

The new-look station would more than double the size of the concourse from 910sq m to 2,000sq m and includes several options to improve pedestrian access between Moor Street and New Street.
