HTA bags planning for Newark estate transformation

HTA Design's proposals for the York Drive Estate in Newark

Nearly one-third of the 320 new homes being built will be affordable, says architect

HTA Design-penned proposals to overhaul the a Nottinghamshire estate and build 320 new homes have been approved by local councillors.

The practice’s masterplan for the Yorke Drive Estate in Newark will see the demolition and redevelopment of 130 existing homes on the 1960s estate. Some of the new homes will be built on under-used land near to local playing fields.

The revamped estate will feature a new park offering sports and leisure facilities as well as a new main access route.
