Academic building will serve as campus gateway
RIBA Competitions has launched a contest to find a multi-disciplinary team to design a new academic building for Portsmouth University.
The 20,000sq m building in the city’s Victoria Park area will serve as a northern gateway to the university’s city centre campus.
It will also bring together the faculty of business and law with the faculty of humanities and social sciences, as well as other facilities.
Expressions of interest are sought, from which a shortlist of up to five teams will be selected. An equal honorarium of £20,000 (+VAT) will be paid to each of the bid teams who submit a compliant final tender and attend a clarification interview presentation.
