Hotel operator Four Seasons has revealed images of a 31-storey complex RSHP has designed for it in the Taiwanese capital of Taipei.

The 180m-tall hotel will feature approximately 260 light-filled rooms with both city and mountain views.

The project, which was a direct commission, is currently under construction in the Xinyi district. It will be opposite CY Lee & Partners’ 506m-tall Taipei 101 building.

RSHP senior design partner Ivan harbour said the hotel was an “exceptional project”.

“Through three significant outward facing spatial gestures across its elevation, the hotel will embrace the immediate public realm at street level, the rapidly growing Xinyi district at mid-level and Taipei’s iconic mountain setting at its peak, together creating a landmark building that is very much of its place.

“With a focus on guest experience and wellbeing, the team has carefully orchestrated the interactions between the hotel and its surroundings. Every journey and every space will have its own moment.”

The hotel will boast a range of dining venues such as a high-end Chinese restaurant and a destination bar, a pool bar and a lobby lounge. There will also be an executive club lounge and a fitness centre with an outdoor pool and spa.

It will offer extensive meeting and event spaces, including a grand ballroom and a junior ballroom with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass panels. Ground level lush garden space will also be available for meetings and events.

The project is due to complete in 2025.
