Division will target residential and commercial work
Scott Brownrigg has set up a new US arm in partnership with a local practice.
The firm will operate in the US and South and Central America under the newly created entity, SB&C Architecture.
The move formalises an existing partnership between Scott Brownrigg and New York firm Crown Architecture and Consulting.
The pair bid a scheme on the city’s Park Avenue last year and have carried out work turning a dilapidated site in Manhattan’s financial district, destroyed by 2012’s Hurricane Sandy, into a hospitality venue known as the Broadstone Bar and Kitchen.
Darren Comber, chief executive of Scott Brownrigg, said: “The creation of SB&C Architecture builds on our positive partnership with Crown Architecture and our long-term strategy for growth in the US market.”
Target markets for SB&C Architecture will include residential and commercial developments.
