We owe it to those who died to learn the lessons from the disaster now
It has been an agonising couple of weeks. I have tried, each evening, to read the transcripts from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry since it restarted. They should be mandatory reading for everyone in the housing sector.
It is rare, in the construction industry, that we get the opportunity to learn from things that go wrong.
Other industries have similar struggles. We see it in the NHS, and recently in the airline industry, as the Boeing 737 MAX investigations continue.
