New tool, EDDAT, provides guidance on how the design, layout and material specification of a project can make it easier for an ageing population
Experts from the University of Stirling have created a tool to make homes, workplaces and public spaces more accessible to those living with dementia.
The Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT) combines research on designing for cognitive change with the expertise of leading architects based at the University’s Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC).
EADDAT provides guidance on how the design, layout and interiors of buildings can make it easier for an ageing population to use those spaces.
