Holl lands Los Angeles history prize

The New Yorker, who was recently voted America's best architect by Time magazine, was preferred to Swiss practice Herzog & de Meuron, Boston-based Machado and Silvetti Associates, Foster and Partners and David Chipperfield Architects, both of London. The project has a budget of US$200m-300m.
