Developer in process of appointing contractor
Plans for another tower designed by Glancy Nicholls Architects have been approved by Birmingham council.
The 28-storey Essex Street scheme will provide 154 apartments.
As part of the plans, the development will include a mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, a sky garden and rooftop cinema.
A concierge service and a private gym will also be included, which will feature commercial space on the ground floor.
There will also be a number of discounted apartments available for local key workers. The homes are going to be made available for private sale.
Negotiations are currently underway to appoint a contractor, with work expected to start on site in January 2021.
The project is being developed by Essex St Ltd and will be built on land at 31-33 Essex Street, on the corner of Bristol Street.
